Please join us for the monthly General Meeting of the Cleveland Branch of the NAACP 7:00, immediately following the 6:00 meeting of the Executive Committee.

Our meeting on June 7 will feature a presentation by, and Q&A with, Matthew Barge, the lead member of the team overseeing the implementation of the Consent Decree between the City of Cleveland and Department of Justice, which resulted from a pattern and practice of unconstitutional policing.

The monitoring team released their first semiannual report on the Consent Decree process on June 2, just last week.

The primary purpose of our monthly meeting is to receive input in the form of questions, comments, feedback, & concerns from the General Membership; the Cleveland Branch of the NAACP is YOUR organization. Each meeting’s agenda also includes updates on coming events and the activities of the previous month.

As Vice President Hardiman said at January’s meeting,

“We [the executive committee] are not the NAACP; YOU are the NAACP.”
